When I began in the fountain and lake style & development business in Jan of 1982, I was asking the same query. I had a minor benefits over most when it came to responding to the query, "Which push do I use?"

I came out of the power efficiency area, so I was already smart about power consumption subjects.

It was a task in the 70's, when I was trying to persuade people that they should buy the Mitsubishi lightweight neon light to preserve power. This was the first of its type and it marketed for $12 to $14. Its lumen or light outcome was similar to a 60-watt incandescent light, which marketed for $ .60 in most shops. One significant disadvantage of sump pushes that the lining lake market does not discuss with their customers is that they are basically power sponges. But then, that is not the only factor they ignore to bring up to their usually simple and unaware customers.

These easy-to-install, easy-to-make-a-killing ships that come with a 20-50 season assurance (against manufacturer problems only) are actually a food in the future to a burrowing gopher, rat, rabbit, floor rabbit, chipmunk or muskrat.

How do I know? I substitute ships with tangible and rebar for a living and I ask if the client if the lining salesperson informed them the benefits and drawbacks about the lining. (Most drawbacks don't!)

Besides a sump push charging twice as much to function than a higher quality, centrifugal push, they connect up quickly. (By the way, the lining people modified the name to a "submersible pump" and they are now using the phrase "waterfall push.") Concrete and rebar developed lakes with base anti-vortex empties rarely, if ever, connect up.

In the market journal, Water Lawn Information, the v. p. of product control for the Aquascape Company mentioned,

A lot of the time, the more price effective the [sump] push, the less shades and trash it can manage. So often the individual is thrilled the push will only price them $10 monthly to run, but what they did not know is that they are going to have to be out there 3 times per 7 days, washing the consumption of the [sump] push to keep it going.
